I got a job!! It is with Fresenius Medical Care and I will be doing Dialysis in San Carlos! The job application process was NOT fun. I sent out probably 30 applications and only heard from the Nursing home and the Dialysis center. Well, mostly just the nursing home because they told me first that there was an opening at the Dialysis so I hurried to get all my paperwork in, then when I got it in they told me there really wasn't an opening. Awesome.. So I got an interview with the nursing home and had pretty much settled on getting the job as long as the interview went well. Later on in the week, my friend Jenn Stowell who works at Dialysis called me and said that her manager asked about me and said they could use me in San Carlos!! YAY I was so excited. Tabitha called and I had an interview with her and Marleah at the office. They sounded pretty confident that I had the job and I felt SOOO good about it during the whole interview. It was more of a conversation than an interview. THEN, I had to have another interview with the lady that is over them so she could approve of me.. That stressed me out a little bit. I cannot answer questions like I wish I could. Anyways, I got a call on friday from the nursing home saying I got the job and I had to say that I was waiting on another job and I would let her know as soon as possible. Not long after, I got the next interview call and approval and I accepted the Dialysis job. I felt bad having to say no to the nursing home, but I guess thats just how it goes.
Training starts August 8th and it's in Tempe. 10 wks longs!! I think that is good though. I'd much rather train than hop right into the job. I will get paid to travel, eat and a hotel. I'm extremely excited to make money so we can have a savings (and so I can buy some of the things we need "or that I want")
As for now, I'm trying to get as much done as possible at our new home before I get too busy. We moved into Tanner and Karyn's double wide (which is super nice). While Erline's house is being built, she moved into her 5th wheel, Garrett and Angela moved into Tanner and Karyn's 5th wheel and they moved into Erline's house so we moved into their trailer. Crazy right?? I LOVE being in the trailer so far. Even though we downgraded from the huge yard/house/shop/garage that we were renting, I like it a whole lot more being able to have my own space with my own stuff and own decorations. It's nice and I've had some fun. I will post some pictures soon, we have to take everything down to paint then put it all back together. LOTS of work, but a great change.
So excited for you Rach! Congrats on everything!!!
